The images were captured by the Cassini spacecraft, which has been observing Saturn, its moons and rings since it entered the planet's orbit in 2004.

The spectacle occurs twice during each orbit Saturn makes around the sun, which takes approximately 10,759 Earth days, or about 29.7 Earth years

Earth experiences a similar equinox phenomenon twice a year; the autumnal equinox will occur Sept. 22, when the sun will shine directly over Earth's equator.

The rare lighting phenomenon took place from August 11 when sunlight hit Saturn's rings exactly edge-on, making them all but disappear from view.

I am attracted and would like to share some photos of the new and old gold coins.

This was a large gold coin produced between 1908 and 1914 and later reissued in 1916 as commemorative coins.

The obverse features the head of Emperor Franz Joseph I and the reverse The arms of Austria superimposed upon a crowned double-headed Imperial eagle.

Anglo-Saxon Gold Coin

A very special Anglo-Saxon coin, is more than a thousand years old.

It's made of gold and shows a king called Coenwulf on one side.

Coenwulf was very powerful. He ruled an area known as 'Mercia' to the Anglo-Saxons, a large part of modern-day England, from 796 to 821.

The coin was found near Bedford in 2001 by a metal-detectorist.

It's taken until now for the Museum to raise enough money to buy it.

They had to pay £357,832 - making it the most expensive British coin ever!

Coenwulf's picture, the flower symbol, the inscriptions (letters), even the weight and the way the coin was made are all clues for historians to decipher.

24-karat American Buffalo gold coins

Feature images on one side of an American bison, as on the classic Buffalo Nickel of 1913, and on the other an American Indian.

The 99.99% pure coins for investors and collectors.

Although the face value is $50, the price will depend on the price of gold, plus markups.

Indian Gold Mohur, Queen Victoria

The Mohur was a very old Indian gold coin dating from the 16th century.

When Britain ruled India 300 years later, the name 'mohur' was taken over and used for a British-style gold coin.

It has Queen Victoria's head on one side and a lion and palm tree on the other.

Well, what do we know about fireworks?

Fireworks were invented in ancient China in the 12th century to scare away evil spirits, as a natural extension of the Chinese invention of gunpowder.

Fireworks are a class of low explosive pyrotechnic devices used for aesthetic and entertainment purposes.

China is the largest manufacturer and exporter of fireworks in the world.

The most common feature of fireworks is a paper or pasteboard tube or casing filled with the combustible material, often pyrotechnic stars.

A number of these tubes or cases are often combined so as to make, when kindled, a great variety of sparkling shapes, often variously colored.

The skyrocket is a common form of firework, although the first skyrockets were used in war.

However, the beauty of fireworks always be part of attraction for certain event.

Hi, a fine sunny morning was perfectly good for me to start updating my blog.

A star is a massive, luminous ball of plasma held together by gravity.

The nearest star to Earth is the Sun, which is the source of most of the energy on Earth.

Other stars are visible in the night sky, when they are not outshone by the Sun.

Historically, the most prominent stars on the celestial sphere were grouped together into constellations and asterisms, and the brightest stars gained proper names.

But today, we are talking about something unusual where you can see such "night skies" can be seen on ceilings of caves.

Organisms living in the cave produce the light which resembles the star-studded sky at night.

What an astonishing scene and such beauty was amazing.

JELLYFISH FACTS

The mauve stinger is around 4in long. It has just one body cavity with just one opening that acts as its mouth - and which expels its waste.

It has four arms and eight tentacles, covered with harpoon like barbs that shoot out and grab hold of plankton and fish - and which release a potent venom.

It glows in the dark when disturbed. A trail of glowing jellyfish can sometimes be seen in the wake of ships at night.

All jellyfish sting, but not all have poison that hurts humans. Of the 2,000 species of jellyfish, only about 70 seriously harm or kill people.

In 2006, the Red Cross treated 21,000 people who had been stung by jellyfish on the beaches of Catalonia, Spain.

Jellyfish are made up of 95 per cent water.

The creatures move by taking water into their muscular bell and squirting it out behind them in a jet. They also float on currents.

They have no brains, respiratory systems or circulatory systems.

The most dangerous is the box jellyfish. It moves at 6ft a second and its sting can kill in three minutes.

The creatures can devastate fish farms and in one incident 100,000 salmon were killed by them.

A giant species of monitor lizard that lives in trees has been discovered in the forests of the Northern Philippines.

The lizard, a new species of the genus Varanus, is skittish and able to hide from humans, its primary predators, which could explain why it has gone undetected by scientists for so long.

The image reveals a small region inside the massive globular cluster Omega Centauri, which boasts nearly 10 million stars.
